Darren Emerson 曾經擔任Underworld 樂團團員，當時以Trainspotting(猜火車)電影主題曲'Born Slipy'成功地讓樂團一炮而紅。加入樂團之前，DE已經在DJ專業擁有17年資歷，這也是Underworld邀請他入團的主因，為樂團打造了融合電子與搖滾的三張經典專輯，全球銷售直達百萬。The Chemical Brothers, Fatboy Slim與Bjork等樂團藝人也紛紛找上DE來擔任混音製作。
DE在2000年離團之後，專注於他的Underwater唱片，以及音樂製作。他在Ibiza舉辦的唱片廠牌派對贏得DJ Magazine最佳浩室活動大獎，他與Sasha共同製作的單曲'Scorchio'更成為Ibiza派對神曲，2003年Underwater唱片獲頒了DJ Mag最佳唱片廠牌榮耀。
DE從來不曾停止音樂生涯的腳步，發行了Global Underground的專業DJ系列三張混音專輯，2010年成立全新廠牌'DETONE'，各大音樂祭巡演不斷。今年九月底DE將在日本Ultra音樂祭演出，隨即來到台北201#6，這是一個獨特的機會，讓我們重新體驗遊走在House與Techno之間的電子音樂先鋒，追尋猜火車的迷幻異域。

Darren Emerson is one of the most influential figures in dance music, with a 17 year career that has seen him work with everyone from Depeche Mode to Jamie Cullum. His success is evident in the numerous million-selling hit albums and singles he has been a part of and his stunning DJ skills. When he turned 18, Rick Smith invited him to become the third member of techno band Underworld. During his time with Underworld, the band released three albums and sold over a million albums worldwide.
Emerson also emerged as a much sought-after remix talent, with remixes for such diverse acts as The Chemical Brothers, and Björk. Darren parted ways with Underworld in 2000 and is now concentrating more on his solo career as a DJ and remixer, and also a label owner.
